Cornbury Park Lakes

Amendment to the previous announcement about access to the lakes, again from Ollie Howe:

Apologies- please do use the kissing gates, and I'm sure in this instance it would OK to also follow the fence above the second lake to access lake wilderness. It's is just the dam that needs to be avoided.

All members fishing Cornbury Park Lakes, please read the message below from Ollie Howe, [Cornbury] Park Foreman:

Unfortunately the raised dam bank between the bottom Stud lake and the upper ‘goldfish lake’ has begun to deteriorate and has become very weak. We have signed and coned the damn off, but could you please pass a message to all of your members to please access the lakes through the green Southill gates, rather than the kissing gates in the deer fencing above the lakes.

Note that, for the 2018 season, Lake Superior is no longer available to CFF rods.

The map above indicates the entrance to the estate approach road to the lakes leading off the B4022 Charlbury Rd. Grid reference: SP364170.

Fly patterns, noted in returns submitted, were as follows:

  • Damsel
